- Sixty students from vocational training schools in Cadiz, Huelva, Madrid and Tenerife will benefit from this program in the 2021–2022 academic year.
- The aid will finance education-related costs, including tuition, school supplies, transportation or lunchroom expenses.
The beneficiaries of the scholarships will be students in Basic, Intermediate and Higher Vocational Training aged between 15 and 30 who are studying a vocational training cycle in energy and water, chemistry, safety and environment, mechanical manufacturing, IT and communications, installation and maintenance, electricity and electronics, administration and management or commerce and marketing.
For Cristina Ortiz, director of Fundación Cepsa, "through this program, which combines our Foundation’s two lines of action — social and scientific-educational — we will help improve the competitiveness of the productive system thanks to qualification and specialization in activities with high added value, while preparing young talent for the professions of the future, promoting their integration into the labor market and boosting the ecological transition through training in areas such as energy, chemistry, water and the environment".
The application period for these scholarships will be open from June 15 to July 13. Subsequently, beneficiaries will be selected by a specialized technical secretariat and an evaluation committee composed of representatives from Cepsa and its Foundation. In the process, the candidates’ academic record and individual circumstances (disability, income, etc.) will be taken into account.
