- With support from the Fundación Cepsa, the AMPA of Santa Rita School will be able to offer digital skill educational workshops for parents and students
- The Fundación Cepsa thereby renews its annual collaboration with the educational center
The Fundación Cepsa has concluded its annual partnership with the Association of Parents of Students (Ampa) at the Santa Rita Primary School in Camp San Roque, Cadiz, which this year will be focused on educational workshops for parents and students.
In a meeting attended by AMPA representatives and the school supervisors, the need for digital skill education was discussed, primarily for parents of students but also for students in lower grades. The pandemic has tested the knowledge and computer skills of not only children but also their parents, identifying serious problems with connecting to the Internet to help their children do their homework and continue classes virtually. In addition, part of the 2020 aid will also be used to hold an emotional management workshop for the students at the Santa Rita School to enable them to deal with their emotions in the best possible way during these difficult times of the health crisis.
Estrella Blanco, the head of the Fundación Cepsa in Campo de Gibraltar, said that “the pandemic has shown that, even today, there are families who have significantly behind in terms of digital skills and, thanks to this type of workshop, they will learn how to manage computers. This is even more important considering that the end of last year had to be taught virtually and we do not know how the course that has just begun will end.”
