- The organization works to promote healthy lifestyle habits among citizens suffering from heart disease
Fundación Cepsa is taking a close look at how the winning projects of the last edition of the Social Value Awards are being implemented. This visit focused on the winning project in the 2020 edition, by the Trasdocar Association, which consists of a social integration program benefiting people with heart disease in the town of San Roque.
As part of this program, Trasdocar has maintained contact with members during the COVID-19 pandemic to continue raising awareness on the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyle habits in people who have suffered or continue to suffer from some type of heart disease. At Trasdocar's headquarters in San Roque, people who need it will find a counseling team to improve and change their lifestyle habits, as well as nursing, psychology and social work support services and a sports area, since physical activity is also essential for a healthy lifestyle.
The head of Fundación Cepsa in Campo de Gibraltar, Estrella Blanco, took a tour of the Trasdocar facilities in San Roque alongside its director Lorenzo Perez and said that the entity “performs a crucial service aimed at people who have suffered heart disease and have to opt for healthy lifestyle to prevent relapse. At Trasdocar, they find support and counseling.”
The Social Value Awards
These awards are one of the stand-out initiatives of Fundación Cepsa. The aim of the awards is to provide support to individuals, associations, and underprivileged sectors of society so as to foster a spirit of solidarity and promote educational and cultural development through the involvement of Cepsa staff, who sponsor the programs that the associations of the Campo de Gibraltar region submit as candidates to receive the Social Value Awards. The period for submitting entries to the 2021 competition will open in September.
